A reference point for exterior design, today it offers new collections and new styles
Terraces and gardens furnished as sophisticated living rooms are recurring images of the present and Unopiù is certainly one of the longest-lived companies in this sector. In 1978 the company was founded in Tuscia with a forward-looking vision that was unprecedented at the time: the exterior deserved the same attention as the interior. Unopiù is a pioneering company and in 1982 it published its first catalog which included the wooden furnishings that are still representative of its style today. Not only that: in 1988 with a dynamic and creative spirit, he designed the Amanda hammock, proposing an informal and sophisticated way of living outdoors at the same time. The idea was a success and brought Unopiù and its style all over the world and today, when outdoor furniture is one of the most important and expanding sectors, the company has been able to experiment with new forms and new styles, without abandoning those iconic collections that have furnished the most prestigious gardens in the world for years.
Ariete by Adam D. Tihany – Tihany Product Design
The Ariete collection (on the cover) is a contemporary interpretation of the classic wrought iron outdoor furniture, whose design is stylized in subtraction until it becomes essential without losing character. The recurring theme is the circle that we find in the sofa and armchair as armrests, but also in the chairs and coffee tables. The style is extremely elegant, light, and sophisticated. Ideal for an informal sitting area with attention to shape and comfort.
Coco by Andrea Andretta
Evocative and with an amarcord flavour, the Coco collection is inspired by the classic bar chairs in iron and nylon. Andrea Andretta starts from that image to create something sophisticated, while remaining faithful to the informal spirit of the origins.
The collection, introduced at the last Salone del Mobile in Milan, consists of a chair, an armchair with footrest, a two-seater sofa and a coffee table. To recreate the convivial atmosphere of a 70s bistro in your outdoor space.
As we said in 1988 Unopiù experiments with an unprecedented project: transforming the hammock into a sophisticated element for a classy outdoor setting. Thus, was born Amanda, iconic and identifier of the brand, object of desire for those who love to live and welcome in their garden in an informal and amused but also elegant way.
One of the most interesting intuitions of Unopiù was undoubtedly the use of the classic weaving by replacing the wicker with a high-performance, patented material, WaProLace®. The structural skeleton of Agorà is made of aluminium, the lightness of which allows you to move the furnishings without difficulty and reconfigure the space. The WaProLace® covering gives it a bright Mediterranean style and the large and generous cushions make the whole welcoming and comfortable.
C’est La Vie by Michele Bönan
The C’est la vie collection is classic and evocative of the nautical style but is made special by the material chosen to make it: sapellié mahogany, traditionally used for ship interiors. This is because in addition to being extremely beautiful and warm to the eye, it is also particularly resistant to bad weather and to enhance its characteristics, Unopiù treats it with a special polishing that enhances and protects.
Chelsea is a welcoming living room that evokes distant and exotic lands. It is entirely made of high quality teak, a recurring material in the collections of Unopiù which selects its suppliers with a view to reliability and sustainability. The collection is extensive and complete and includes sofas and armchairs, coffee tables, deckchairs, dining tables and chairs and storage units.
Being able to relax by the pool or surrounded by greenery to indulge in a few moments of absolute relaxation: it is one of the added values of the outdoor space where, therefore, a sun lounger cannot be missing. Elegant, like Swing, characterized by a series of curved teak slats to give an ergonomic shape and maximum comfort.
The Synthesis collection has an essential style but with a creative twist: the irregular weaving of the rope in WaProLace®, the yarn – already mentioned – patented by the company, which has an extremely natural appearance but also very high performance in resisting atmospheric agents.
The dream of many is a small greenhouse in which to grow their favorite flowers but also to relax and read a book or host a conversation corner. To fulfill this, Unopiù offers Orangerie: a collection of greenhouses, leaning against or self-supporting, in different sizes.
