Perfectly equipped, they are the heart of a new way of living the outdoors
Outdoor design is the big theme of the moment: for some years this sector has been booming, both from the creative point of view and from the point of view of public interest, but with the pandemic we have all assumed a new awareness of how important it is to have the opportunity to live your own outdoor space. And the goal is to experience it fully and throughout the day, especially in spring when temperatures and hours of light increase. The outdoor space can become a location for smart working, a place of relaxation and a precious context to welcome our guests. This is why today, among the most successful furnishing elements, we find kitchens designed specifically for terraces and gardens. These are kitchens designed to guarantee very high performance and resistance to atmospheric agents, but also to integrate elegantly into the context, in short: beautiful to look at too.
Tikal by Nicola De Pellegrini – Studio Anidride Design for Talenti
Talenti, a company specialized in outdoor furniture made in Italy, took the big step in 2020 by creating its first outdoor kitchen precisely in the sign of the desire to consider every possible aspect of outdoor life. The kitchen is made of Zinc Magnesium steel and aluminum (Magnesit) with the top in concrete-effect stoneware in large slabs. The aesthetic is essential and discreet, designed to blend in with the natural background and context. It is a modular project in which to combine various elements: from the induction hob to the barbecue, passing through the fridge and up to the cellar. The snack plan module is also interesting, for informal use.
Artusi by Antonio Citterio for Arclinea
Artusi is the Arclinea line entirely devoted to stainless steel, used for both the structure and the top: it has the setting of a real professional kitchen and exists in both the indoor and outdoor versions. In the latter, the thickness of the door, 4cm, allows maximum insulation from external agents and insects. Artusi is available both in the linear version and in the island version to adapt to different types of outdoor spaces.
The Kitchen Island by Roshults is compact and offers ample space for storage: it is modular and each element has a door container underneath with removable shelves. Of course, these container elements can also be equipped with a refrigerator or transformed into drawers. Made to measure, the Kitchen Island can also be equipped with a bar appendix, without losing its characteristic compact profile. The possibility of inserting a barbecue module, cutting board, sink and stove make it perfect for transferring all kitchen activities outside.
The R1 line allows an infinite possibility of composition and is characterized by a design that focuses on the geometries that the various elements, such as drawers, cabinets and more, form when they meet. Here the steel can be combined with cedar wood inserts, used both as a decorative element for the fronts and as a top for the snack module, which make the whole warmer and more familiar without sacrificing elegance. The modular structure can be corner, linear, compact and island, in addition to the classic steel, there are also black and bronze finishes. The variety of functional elements that can be inserted is very wide: in addition to the sink, the burners and the barbecue, there are also, for example, the wine cellar, the teppanyaki hob and the cutting board.
