Essential and soft lines, neutral and light colors, generous upholstery: the autumn of Scandinavian design invites you to relax with elegance.
A few hours of light, intense spaces of shade: in Scandinavian countries, autumn brings with it a natural slowing down and the desire to enjoy the domestic space without forcing.
The lighting becomes dimmer, we surrender to nature and embrace the darkness that expands without fear. This is why Scandinavian companies prefer, especially in this season, neutral and light colors, different shades of white, sand and chocolate with small exceptions, in the accessories, to brighter and more “artificial” colors. Because the absolute protagonist of the change of season is nature, to be brought into the home with colors and materials inspired by it, but also with organic and generous shapes, rounded edges and familiar consistencies. The ambition of this combination of materials, shapes and colors is a sophisticated but informal and welcoming home.
&Tradition
Louise Liljencrantz is a Swedish designer specialized in interiors, her style is Scandinavian and warm, rounded shapes, natural materials and artisanal production of furniture are recurring. It was during one of her projects that she felt the need to insert a sofa that could be in the center of the room without visual forcing and that is how the concept of Margas for &Tradition was born. Today the sofa becomes a collection thanks to the pouf with irregular and round shapes and the two seats, perfect with bouclé upholstery.
Fritz Hansen
Fri™ Sofa, the sofa designed by Jaime Hayon for Fritz Hansen, also fits into the category of upholstered furniture. Here, Danish style merges with Hayon’s joyful creativity: Fri™ Sofa has the proportions and lines of a typical Danish sofa, clean and compact, but the cushions and steel feet add a touch of personality and warmth. To complete the living area, Fritz Hansen offers, by the same designer, the Analog coffee table for the center or side. Among the company’s autumn novelties, the Monolit seat by Cecilie Manz is also interesting, round and enveloping, suitable for both the dining area and an intimate conversation corner.
ferm Living
The new products from ferm Living are a tribute to comfort that is expressed through many formal and design details. Here too we find a welcoming seat, the sheepskin version of the Buur chair for a relaxation or conversation corner.
Also interesting is the collection of Harvest wall rugs that decorate the wall and bring warmth into the home just like the flame of a candle to be placed on the Valse floor candle holder. Practical and pleasant to touch, the Rink bench can be combined, as an alternative to the classic chairs, with the table from the same collection.
Gubi
The new Coppia table lamp by Vibeke Fonnesberg Schmidt for Gubi fits perfectly into the Scandinavian approach to light. A delicate and never forced approach in which the artificial source is always measured and respectful of the rhythms of nature. Coppia is composed of two elements that each include two plexiglass discs held together by a steel band. Each couple has a different color, the lamp returns a luminous and chromatic effect resulting from the fusion of the two light sources.
Audo Copenhagen
Japanese paper lamps are instead the inspiration for the Hashira light collection by Audo Copenhagen. The collection best represents the Japandi style in which the Scandinavian and Japanese approaches overlap harmoniously. The collection, designed by Norm Architects, is enriched with additional elements: the ceiling lamp and the horizontal suspended lamp.
Hay
As usual, Hay brings a touch of bright color to warm and light up autumn with a series of new products featuring bright colors. In an entrance or bedroom, the Color Rack coat hanger is placed to show off and tidy your wardrobe.
The equally colorful Taburete stools are complementary seats for the kitchen, dining area or study corner.
