Peach Inspiration: the color trend of 2024 is soft and gentle

A peach sorbet with a light pink note: this is Peach Fuzz 13 2003, the color identified by Pantone as “color of the year” for 2024. It is a light and luminous shade that is very close to the peach color and for this reason it conveys a sense of tranquility and delicacy. It is a warm but soft color and, in some tones, it turns towards sand, becoming a precious neutral shade that is easy to introduce into a pre-existing furnishing context. In terms of combinations, it goes well with both earthy colors and materials and bolder, more lively elements, in both cases creating interesting and unexpected solutions. It is fresh and gentle but also contemporary and recalls the aesthetics of the metaverse in which pastel shades dominate. Here are some examples of how to translate it into design language.

The peach color is ideal, for example, to give a sense of fresh elegance to the Nine to Five daybed designed by Studiopepe and produced by Tacchini. It is a daybed, intended for convivial moments and solitary relaxation, composed of a succession of bolster cushions that rest on an essential wooden structure. For the same company, Ewe Studio has designed Altar, a coffee table or stool like a sculpture: the inspiration is the pre-Hispanic altars, to whose culture the designers feel linked by origin, since their home is Mexico and valorization of local craftsmanship is one of their cornerstones.

Tide Peach Fuzz Special Edition by Karim Rashid for Horm

Karim Rashid’s dynamic style finds the expression of its most lively and sunny side in this color. And here the Tide sideboard is proposed in a special edition: the main feature is the front surface, with the typical grooves and wavy lines which take on an additional softness thanks to this new shade. What remains is the perfect proportion of the elements and the capacity that makes Tide a decorative and functional element at the same time.

Cila is a collection of seats espressed by a series of variants designed for both the home environment and the work space. The distinctive element is the backrest which envelops the body offering support and comfort. In the Cila Go version it also features a side shelf useful both for moments of relaxation and for work sessions on the laptop.

La Isla by Note Studio for Sancal

The La Isla sofa collection was designed to make passage spaces, that the anthropologist Marc Augé defined as “non-places”, comfortable and welcoming. The result is a central seat, also perfect for domestic environments with a strong personality, which in the peach-colored version takes on an even softer appearance not only to the touch but also to the eye.
